some agents have been loyally sending out their calendars to clients for years and years.  i’ve seen the calendars range from the simple and inexpensive to the elaborate and re-fillable.

technology-addicted agents may disagree with me here, but i don’t think these calendars are a bad idea.  if they are updated and a few new things added, they still may be a pretty good marketing tool.

1.  don’t just use any ‘ol business card for the calendars.  consider getting some eye-catching ones in a bright color (since most of the calendar pages are white).

2.  you don’t need to put your office address on the card or that you’ve been rockin’ the real estate world since the 70′s.  just name, 1 phone #, email and web. and please, no fax number!

3.  how about sending 2 calendars instead of one? throw a note in that says “one for you and one for a friend” – great way to get your name passed along.

4.  for clients you sold a house to this past year – how about a “custom” calendar that you can easily make online (try www.snapfish.com) with various pictures of their house?

5.  create a custom calendar using pictures you have taken of your area during the various seasons.

go forth and conquer with those calendars…just try to update them for the 21st century!
